The Whole Truth and Nothing But the Truth!

When it comes to life writings, such as bibliographies or memoirs, I believe the author should tell the truth and nothing but the truth. Although an author's memory may fade over a long period of time, I believe the author should write based in what they can remember. The reader is depending on the author to convey authentic detail about their life. Therefore, it is the responsibility of the author to provide the reader with interesting facts, but they must be the truth. If the life writing has any lies in it, it should not be called life writing. Telling lies in a memoir, like Glassco did, brings about too many controversies and this may also damage the author's reputation in the future.
